If you're looking for a great area to call home in the city of Seattle, consider North Seattle, located 9 miles (14 kilometers) to the north of downtown Seattle.

Knowledgeable travelers know Seattle's well-known attractions, the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. That said, it's worth thinking about the University of Washington, another great tourist spot.

"We LOVED staying here!!! The rooftop garden was the perfect place to have dinner and breakfast that we could easily grab right across the street at Safeway. Front desk staff went above and beyond to give us ideas of things to try, good places to eat around the hotel, and often reminded us to grab one of the complimentary umbrellas to use during our stay. Kyle, even helped me with a question about a week before our stay, and he was the first person to greet us when we walked in! It’s a very busy hotel, but you don’t hear a lot of excessive noise, which surprised us! The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a hotel. We had a beautiful view of the harbor area. The windows crack open to allow the sounds and scents of the harbor to fill the room! If our travels ever take us to Seattle again, this place is the first we will try to book, and the first to recommend! Cannot give this place enough stars or kudos!!! "
